GREENFIELD
Ronald Cain, 87, of Greenfield and formerly of Knightstown passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019 at his residence. He was born June 21, 1932 in Greenfield, to the late Roy and Doris Cain.
Ron attended Charlottesville High School. He was in the Army Reserves for 4 years and served active duty from 1956-1958, stationed in Germany. He was a brick mason and owned and operated his own construction company. Ron enjoyed farming, being outdoors, going to the sale barn and traveling.
Survivors include sons, Brian Crossman and Jeff Crossman both of Greenfield, Leon (Tracy) Cain of Shirley; daughters, Shannon Jones (Ralph Armstrong), Davett (Jim) Rednour, Shelly (David) Griffiths all of Greenfield; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; siblings, Peg Graddy (Carl Kirkman) of FL, Marlene (Dick) Jackson of NC, Robert Earl (Judy) Cain of IN and Carolyn Sue (Mangold) Black of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife in 2015, Peggy Jean Cain, and brother, Donald Cain.
At Ron’s request, there will be no public services held. Private inurnment will be in Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
