ANDERSON
Carl E Thompson, 85, passed away on August 31, 2019 in Anderson Indiana. Carl was born on May 14, 1934 in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Clarence and Margaret (Johnson) Thompson.
He graduated from Lincoln High School, Vincennes, Oakland City University and Butler University. He taught fourth and sixth grades in the Mt. Vernon Community Schools in both Fortville and McCordsville. He served in the US Army as a dental assistant. He enjoyed playing Uno, Bingo, and any trivia game which he was usually the winner at all of them.
He enjoyed going to auctions with his friend Golda Pool.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, sister Doris C Hastings, brother Thomas “Danny” Thompson. There will be no funeral services held and burial will take place at Vincennes Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Robert Loose funeral home is handling arrangements.
Special thanks to Keystone Woods Assisted Living caregivers for caring for and enriching his life these past two years, his Oncologist Praveen Rangnathath and staff for their medical gifts and kindness, and to his private caregivers Tammy, Krissy, Hailey, Dan, and Becky for taking such good care of him in his last weeks. He will be missed by his special friends, John , Amber, Isabel and Graham Longnaker. Memorial gifts may be made to Riley’s Children’s Hospital and Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
