Tickets for “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” on sale now
GREENFIELD — Ricks-Weil Theatre Company opens its production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 2 at H.J. Ricks Center for the Arts, 122 W. Main St. This family-friendly show recounts the biblical story of Joseph and his 11 brothers, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. Buck Creek Play-a-Part show is “Rocky Horror”
INDIANAPOLIS — Buck Creek Players’ biennial Play-a-Part fundraiser, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” plays Aug. 2-4 at the Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Ave. All roles in the Play-A-Part productions are cast through an online silent auction with no auditions necessary. Veteran performers join first-timers to give the performance a comedic twist much like “The Carol Burnett Show” or “Saturday Night Live.” “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” tells the story of Brad Majors and his fiancée, Janet Weiss — a normal, wholesome young couple in love — as they innocently set out to visit an old professor. Unfortunately, a thunderstorm and a flat-tire force them to seek help at the castle of Dr. Frank N. Furter, an alien transvestite scientist. Brad, Janet and Frank N.
