MT. COMFORT — The One Hit Wonders Softball Tournament benefiting Special Olympics Indiana, Hancock County is coming up next month.
The tournament is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 at the softball diamonds at Mt. Comfort Elementary School, 5694 W. County Road 300N.
Teams should consist of no more than 17 players. Special Olympics athletes will play their best. Non-Special Olympics athletes will bat and throw using their non-dominant hand. Each team will play two games. Teams can consist of all Special Olympians, no Special Olympians or a mix of both.
The entry fee is $50 per team, which can be less than $3 per person for a team of 17.
Those who want to participate but don’t have a team are encouraged to reach out to Special Olympics Indiana, Hancock County.
