Comcast outage affecting Hancock County

HANCOCK COUNTY — Comcast expects to resolve an outage affecting thousands of customers in Hancock County before the end of the workday.

The telecommunications provider’s unplanned outage is impacting voice, internet and television services for more than 2,500 subscribers in the area, according to an outage map provided by the company.

Comcast estimates the outage will be resolved by 4:49 p.m. today, according to the map.

Among the affected services is the City of Greenfield’s primary phone line. According to a post on Greenfield Power and Light’s Facebook page, Comcast has informed city government that its service will be restored by 4 p.m. today.

Those who need to contact Greenfield Power and Light’s office for an emergency should call the after-hours service number, 1-800-377-5807.During the outage, utility customers can leave a voicemail with the main line at 317-477-4370 and their message will be addressed as soon as possible when service returns.
