Brandywine’s Best 4-H group holds monthly meeting

Brandywine's Best June meeting featured discussion and demonstrations.

GREENFIELD — The June meeting of Brandywine’s Best 4-H Club was called to order at 4:03 p.m. June 2 by club president Rachel Bates.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Emily Schafer, with Robert Schafer leading the 4-H Pledge. The roll call response was "What is your favorite color?" from the 13 members present. The secretary’s report was read by Heather Schafer and was approved by the club.

Raven Bates and Mrs. Hill presented a health & safety report on tornadoes. New and old business consisted of 2018 Hancock County 4-H Fair Queen Savannah Coe reviewing the results of her service project.

Additional topics included fair entry, the handbook, judging, cleaning fences, the dairy bar and 4-H member green folders. Demonstrations given included Heather Schafer’s presentation on how to complete a sudoku puzzle and Hannah Wait on drawing cartoon cats.

Also, demonstrations were given on clothing hangers by Emily Schafer, binder clips by Robert Schafer and scrunchies by Michelle Schafer. Isaac Ross was in charge of recreation and started a game of Octopus.

Bates adjourned the meeting at 4:45 p.m.
