GREENFIELD — The public is invited to a free photo scan day, hosted by Greenfield Historic Landmarks, on Sunday at the Hancock County Public Library in Greenfield.

Individuals are encouraged to bring photos of historical buildings, landmarks and other images unique to Hancock County and have them scanned in the library’s computer lab.

In order to avoid long waiting periods, scan day has been segmented into four half-hour time slots between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Individuals are requested to sign up for one session only and arrive at the beginning of their time slot with photographs ready to scan.

Participants may bring a flash drive to save their photos or receive pictures via email. Some images may be chosen for display on the Greenfield Historic Landmarks website with a photo credit.

Time slots can be reserved on the library calendar at hcplibrary.org or by calling 317-462-5141, ext. 240.
