INDIANAPOLIS — Voters have started receiving postcards in the mail with information about the upcoming election.

The card reminds Hoosiers that Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5, according to a news release from the Indiana Secretary of State’s Election Division. The office is mailing the postcards as part of a statewide voter list audit to identify outdated and inaccurate voter registration information.

Postcards that are returned to the state election office as undeliverable will be used to identify outdated voter information, the release states. If the first mailing is returned, a second postcard will be sent to the address on file with the U.S. Postal Service.

Hoosiers should use the postcard as a reminder to verify, update or start a voter registration online at www.indianavoters.com. Voters may also visit the county clerk’s office at the Hancock County Courthouse to register or update their voter registration.
