Event to highlight arts in New Palestine

NEW PALESTINE — Officials from the Arts and Cultural Council of Hancock County are teaming with officials from the New Palestine Main Street and Museum to recognize artists in the southwestern part of Hancock County.

All artists who live in the Sugar Creek Township area are invited to attend a reception at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2 at the New Palestine Museum, 11 East Main Street — the southeast corner of Main and Depot streets.

Phyllis Authur, a board member of the Arts and Culture Council of Hancock County, said the group wants to increase awareness of the arts in the New Palestine area by uniting all forms of art and creativity.

The two groups, are interested in creating art shows and generating art culture for all to enjoy.

More information is available by contacting Authur at 317-861-5853 or by emailing Becky Gaines at [email protected].
