HCPL Epic Trivia seeks teams for competition

GREENFIELD — Join Hancock County Public Library for HCPL Epic Trivia from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 4 at the library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. Teams of up to six teens and adults can register now for this free competition at hcplibrary.org. First- and second-place teams win gift cards. Teams are encouraged to decorate their tables and wear team-themed costumes for a spirit award. Teams may bring their own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Space is limited to 15 teams.

Southside Quilters Guild offers program on vintage quilts

INDIANAPOLIS — The Quilters Guild of Indianapolis’ south side satellite location (QGIS) will meet at noon March 28 at Friedens United Church of Christ, 8300 S. Meridian St. Presenter Pam Durant will display and discuss her collection of antique and vintage quilts and quilt tops in a program called “Bed Turning.” Attendees will learn where she buys them and how she upgrades them. The Color Theory talk for March will be the color yellow. Everyone is invited to wear something yellow. Additional information is available at quiltguildindy.net.

Master Gardeners to meet

GREENFIELD — The public is invited to Hancock County Master Gardeners’ monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. March 28 at the Hancock County Extension Office, 802 N. Apple St. Lindsey Purcell, an urban forestry specialist from Purdue University, will lead a webinar presentation titled “Proper Selection, Planting and Care of Trees.” A business meeting of Hancock County Master Gardeners will follow at 7:40 p.m. For questions or inquiries, call 317-861-1321.
