Library offers Civil War ancestry webinar

GREENFIELD — Join the Hancock County Public Library’s Genealogy Interest Group from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the library, 900 W. McKenzie Road for an “Ancestry Academy” webinar on researching Civil War ancestors. Participants will learn how to identify Civil War veterans in their family trees and discover federal, state and local resources that exist on Union and Confederate soldiers and sailors. Speaker Amy Johnson Crow is a certified genealogist, author, editor, lecturer and a regular presenter at national and state genealogy conferences. Art studio offers watercolor workshop

GREENFIELD — Hancock County Arts and the Hancock County Creations Art Studio team up to present the Sunset in the Heartland Watercolor Workshop from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 23 at the Twenty North Gallery, 20 N. State St. The $40 registration fee covers all supplies. Instructor Michelle Kimberlin will move participants through this beginner-level workshop step-by-step. Craft club to meet at Sugar Creek library

NEW PALESTINE — By popular demand, the monthly adult craft club will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the New Palestine Branch Library, 5731 W. U.S. Highway 52.
