A story in Thursday’s edition ("Sheriff: New jail demands doubling number of employees, Page A1) contained unclear information provided by the county sheriff’s department. The sheriff says he may need to hire 26 additional staffers to supplement the 27 current full-timers to work at a new jail, a total of 53 employees.
