GREENFIELD
Donald Charles Rainey age 77 of Greenfield passed away, Sunday, January 20, 2019 at his home. Donald was born in Chrisney, Indiana on November 3, 1941. He was a 1959 graduate of Greenfield Central High School and attended barbering school after graduation. Donald married Wanda Kay Rainey on May 20, 1961. They were married for 50 years prior to her passing in 2011.
Prior to his retirement, Donald enjoyed a 30-year career with Ford Motor Company and was a proud member of the U.A.W. Donald taught Sunday school for many years. He enjoyed fishing, wood working, gardening, basketball and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Patricia (Brook) Manche, Deloris Hamil, Pamela (Ron) Spencer, Donita Rainey and Michael (Renee) Rainey; sisters, Brenda Shively, Faye Lewis; grandchildren, Adam Manche, Branden Conroy; great grandchild, Alexis Manche and many other close family and dear friends.
Donald is also preceded in death by his Parents, James and Stella Rainey; and sisters, Goneth Rush and Janet Perman.
Friends may call 4-7 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Funeral service 10 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2019 at the funeral home with Fred Powers officiating.
