HHC meet moved to tonight

Due to expected inclement weather, the Hoosier Heritage Conference wrestling meet has been moved from Saturday’s makeup date at Pendleton Heights to tonight at New Palestine.

The conference championship, which will feature all eight HHC teams including New Palestine, Greenfield-Central and Mt. Vernon, will begin at 5 p.m. at New Palestine High School. Weigh-ins will take place at 4:15.

Swimming

Cougars sweep Shelbyville

Greenfield-Central hosted conference opponent Shelbyville on Wednesday, picking up a pair of wins against the visitors.

The Cougars girls won 119-66. Top finishers for the hosts were Carley Logan in the 200 Free and 100 Back, Anne Marie DeKeyser in the 50 and 100 Free, Megan Coffin in the 100 Fly, Rebekah Bogle in the 500 Free, Grace Hall in Diving, and the 200 and 400 Free Relay teams.

The Cougars boys picked up a 97-88 win. Top finishers were Travis Black in the 200 Free and 100 Fly, Sammy Logan in the 500 Free and 100 Breast, Carter Hudziak in the 200 IM, Sam Jennings in the 100 Back, and the 200 Medley Relay team.
