Cougars sweep New Castle
Greenfield-Central’s swimming teams took to the road Thursday, coming away with boys and girls wins against New Castle.
On the boys side, the Cougars earned a 140-39 victory. The girls came away with a 147-27 victory. Greenfield-Central mixed the lineups around for both teams in the big wins.
Marauders fall to Delta
Mt. Vernon’s swim teams traveled to Delta on Thursday, with both boys and girls squads falling to the Eagles.
The girls narrowly lost to the hosts, falling 92-20. The boys fell short, 103-77.

Cougars get comeback win
Greenfield-Central rallied from behind Thursday, storming back to beat Franklin Central 38-36 in a home dual.
Picking up wins for the Cougars were Josh VanOsdol at 113 pounds, Dylan Dorman at 126, Gavin Rose via technical fall at 132, Kenny Thompson at 145, Cooper Noehre at 152, Wyatt Andrick at 170 and Scott Stanley at 182.
