NEW PALESTINE — On Nov. 11, piano teacher Carol Rosenthal and her students presented their first music recital of the school year on piano and organ at Zion Lutheran Church, New Palestine.
The theme, in honor of Veteran’s Day, was “Songs We Know.” Performers played arrangements of familiar hymns, including “Silent Night,” celebrating its 200th birthday this year; popular music; and folk songs as well as classical pieces and a patriotic duet.
The program also included “Words We Know,” a student-created music crossword puzzle. Afterwards, they shared their favorite snacks with everyone.
