GREENFIELD
Gloria A. (Pollard) Mills, age 93, of Greenfield, formerly of Fort Wayne, IN and Greenfield, OH, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born in Pike County, OH on August 7, 1925 to Guy M. and Ella J. (Hanlon) Pollard.
Gloria graduated from Bainbridge High School in Bainbridge, OH. She married Harold D. Mills on July 14, 1946.
She was the secretary at a doctor’s office in Greenfield, OH for 10 years. Gloria was a member of Trinity Christian Union Church in Greenfield, OH and was on the Macedonian Board of the Ohio Council of Christian Union. She took several classes at the Christian Union Bible College. She cherished her many years of teaching Sunday School. Gloria enjoyed crocheting and was loving of everybody and made a lasting impression on all she met.
Gloria is survived by her son, Michael “Mick” Mills of Wilkinson, IN; four grandchildren, Leslie (Rob) Lugo of McCordsville, IN, Michael “Mike” Mills II of Greenfield, IN, Erica (Bryan) Russell of Indianapolis, IN, and Andrew J. Mills of Fort Wayne, IN; and six great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all of her friends at Springhurst. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Ella Pollard; and husband, Harold Mills.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Christian Union Church, 1200 N. Washington Street, Greenfield, OH 45123. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Mike Anderson will be officiating. Burial will follow at Greenfield Cemetery in Greenfield, OH.
