Why are you running for office?

I am running to give the residents of Fortville a voice in our town. For a long time the residents of Fortville have not had a choice on the ballot. This year Becky and I are giving the residents of Fortville a choice. I have been listening to the residents, the building owners and the business owners of Fortville on Main Street and a majority of them feel unheard by the current town council.

What are the most challenging aspects of the town board position?

The most challenging aspect is making the hard decisions for the future of the town. This will be a hard decision for me, but if I am elected I will put a stop to the Main Street project. I will tell the engineering company to go back and talk to the small business owners on Main Street about redesigning Main Street. We need to find a way to avoid losing 19 parking spaces in the redesign of Main Street. I know a lot of people have put in a lot of time into this project, but the new Main Street design must be fair to all concerned.

What is the most pressing issue the Fortville Town Council has to address as the region experiences rapid growth?

Getting the residents that surround Fortville, the developers and the builders to work together.
