Dragons sweep Shelbyville

New Palestine won a convincing 25-17, 25-9, 25-12 victory against Shelbyville on Tuesday’s Senior Night.

Sydney Robertson had 30 assists, 11 digs and four aces. Lydia Jones added 14 kills and six digs. Rylie Sturgeon had 11 digs. Kaelyn Armstrong had nine digs, three kills and two aces.

The Dragon varsity is now 22-7 on the year and 2-4 in the powerful HHC. New Palestine concludes the regular season Thursday at Mt. Vernon.

Marauders take down Noblesville

In a match controlled by serving and passing, Mt. Vernon was able to put enough plays together to take down a tough Noblesville team Tuesday, winning 25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 25-13.

Claire Ertel had 16 kills and Cecilia Bulmahn added 15. Each had four aces, leading the way for the Marauders, who had 14 total aces in the match. Sophie Schultz led the defense with 27 digs, and Victoria Bulmahn added 23 digs and 34 assists.

The Marauders are now 22-7 on the year.

Royals top rival Knightstown

Eastern Hancock won a rivalry match Tuesday against Knightstown, picking up the 25-17, 22-25, 25-23, 25-23 win.

The Royals improved to 10-19 on the year with Tuesday’s win.

Cougars drop match to HSE

Greenfield-Central lost its final match of the season Tuesday against Hamilton Southeastern, 7-25, 10-25, 25-20, 16-25.

The Cougars are now 20-11 on the season.
