ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA

Robert L. Rebic, 91, resident of St. Petersburg, Florida, and former Greenfield, Indiana, resident, passed away of natural causes on Aug. 1, 2018, surrounded by his loving family in his home in St. Petersburg, Florida.

He was born on July 31, 1927, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Michael and Margaret Rebic, and has been a Florida resident since 1980.

He is a retired automotive manager from Indianapolis, Indiana, for over 30 years. He was a lifelong member of Amvets. He was also a World War II Army Veteran who served honorably and loved his country. He loved Florida so much; his grandkids called him ‘Grandpa Sunshine.’ He enjoyed the the hot days with a cold beer.

He is survived by two daughters, Susan Luther and Cheri Holland, and three sons, Stephen Michael and William Todd; grandchildren, Kelly, Jimmy, Stacy, Jennifer, Allyson, Lesley, Nick, Jason, Robert, Tiffany, Heather, Brittany, Dylan and Savanna; great-grandchildren, Lexie, Jackson, Christian, Haley, Spencer, Jack, Donovan and Maxuell; great-great-grandchildren, Alexa, Ava, Roslyn and Sebastian; siblings, Ella Mae, Catherine and Ruthie of Pittsburgh; and Joe of Washington.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Barbara J. Rebic, who passed away in 2002, and daughter Cathie J, son Robert L. Jr., siblings Grace, Mary, Peggy, Al and Chuck.

A private service will be held at Oakland Memorial in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Sept. 29, 2018.
