Dragon golfers fall
The New Palestine girls golf team dropped a 182-200 decision Thursday to Noblesville at Edgewood Golf Club in Anderson.
Annaliese Fox shot 36 for medalist honors. Izzy Gray added a 48. Megan Diller, Rachel Purnell, Traci Olsen and Michaela Purnell all added 58s.
The Dragons are next in action today at the Lapel Invitational.
Marauders down Royals
Mt. Vernon improved to 4-0 on the year with a 179 to 244 victory Thursday against county opponent Eastern Hancock.
Mt. Vernon freshman Meredith Johnson was medalist with a 40. Senior Lily Hampton shot her best nine-hole match score ever with a 45 for the Marauders.
Daly Pelger shot a 54 for Eastern Hancock. She was followed by Jocelyn Duncan’s 56, Isabella Parker’s 65 and Shelby Jackson’s 69.
