Ten West Center presents ‘Peter and Wendy’

FORTVILLE — Ten West Center for the Arts, 10 W. Church St., presents its summer teen show Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. In this interpretation of “Peter Pan” by Jeremy Bloom,. Peter lures Wendy away from her nursery to the magical world of Neverland where she joins his adventures with Tinkerbell, Tiger Lily and the menacing Captain Hook. KidsPlay to Audition for ‘Tuesdays With Mummy’

GREENFIELD — KidsPlay, Inc. children’s theatre will hold auditions for 3rd through 8th graders for its fall production of “Tuesdays With Mummy” from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. August 7 and 9 at the Memorial Building, 98 E. North St. “Tuesdays With Mummy” stars Oxford professor Rigby Melville — a fish expert, not an archeologist — who is called to Egypt to find the secret chamber of Thutmes. Melville manages to finds both the secret chamber and the Mummy, but the Mummy has a request: for Melville to place a magic ring on the finger of Nefertiti, his mummified wife, so they may spend eternity together. When Nefertiti suddenly crumbles into dust, the Mummy demands that Melville’s fiancée, Nancy Doodle, be his new companion. New auditioners should come prepared with an audition monologue of one minute or less. Rehearsals for the production will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Performance dates are November 2, 3 and 4.
