CARTHAGE
Donald R. McColley, 86, of Carthage, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born October 3, 1931 in Manilla, IN the son of Charles Stanley and Norma Lavon (Bever) McColley.
Donald was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. He retired in 1993 from Delco-Remy, Anderson after 43 years of service. He was a member of Greenfield Church of God. Donald was involved with Boy Scouts for many years and was also a member of the Carthage Lions Club. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Violet L. (Logan) McColley; three sons, Terry McColley of Indianapolis; Rickie (Cherie) McColley of Lewisville and Daryl McColley of Brownsburg; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Dale McColley.
Services will be at 7:00 PM Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Greg Isaacs officiating. Military rites will be conducted by an active duty contingent of the US Army, the Knightstown American Legion, Post 152 and the VFW. Friends may call from 4-7 PM prior to the service.
