Footlite Musicals go ‘Into the Woods’

INDIANAPOLIS –The Brothers Grimm hit the Footlite stage with a fairy tale about wishes, family and the choices we make. “Into the Woods” brings everyone’s favorite storybook characters together in a timeless modern classic. The story follows a baker and his wife who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them with disastrous results. Local actress Rylie Gendron appears in this production as stepsister Florinda. The show opens Friday at Footlite Musicals, 1847 N. Alabama St., and runs through July 15. Performance dates, times and ticket prices can be found at footlite.org.
