GREENFIELD — A group of community leaders working to design a county-wide trails plan have arranged two public meetings next week to gather community input.

The final plan will include recommended routes to connect communities in Hancock County and programs and policies to support and encourage biking and walking. Organizers are incorporating comments from the surveys and meetings into their recommendations.

The draft plan will be presented to the community at two upcoming meetings, which will include a presentation of the plan and an opportunity for final feedback.

Meetings are scheduled for the following days:

  • 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, at NineStar Connect, 2243 E. Main St.
  • 8:30 p.m., Thursday, at Buck Creek Fire Station Community Room, 5809 W. Airport Blvd.

The draft plan will also be available on hancockcountytrailsplan.com after the presentations for comment through July 19.
