Local students serve as statehouse pages

INDIANAPOLIS — State Sen. Michael Crider welcomed the following students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in February and March:

  • Joseph Allford, from Wilkinson, is a homeschooled student
  • Sam Allford, from Wilkinson, is a homeschooled student
  • Halle Amones, from New Palestine, attends New Palestine Elementary School
  • Adilyn Baker, from New Palestine, attends New Palestine Elementary School
  • Branden Bastin, from New Palestine, attends New Palestine High School
  • Delaney Gillespie, from Pendleton, attends Pendleton Heights High School
  • Macy Huber, from Greenfield, attends Greenfield-Central High School
  • Lauryn Hulet, from New Palestine, attends New Palestine Elementary School
  • Daris Johnson, from Greenfield, attends Doe Creek Middle School
  • Anna Kuhn, from Greenfield, is a homeschooled student
  • Benjamin Manning, from New Palestine, attends New Palestine High School
  • Kate Poorbaugh, from New Palestine, attends New Palestine Elementary School
  • Bailey Reardon, from Morristown, attends New Palestine Elementary School
  • Michael Runions, from Greenfield, attends Greenfield Central Junior High School
  • Ellie Strong, from New Palestine, attends New Palestine Elementary School

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse, touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senators.

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve Wednesdays.
