To the editor:
On Christmas Day, I sat in Steak n’ Shake eating dinner alone. I got to talking with another woman who also was in there eating dinner alone.
We conversed back and forth across the aisle for a while, and when we went to pay our bills, we found that the young man who had been sitting behind us had paid both of our bills.
Thank you to that young man, whoever he was, for that act of kindness.
