GREENFIELD
Nettie L. (Beavins) Sanford, 85, of Greenfield, passed away December 25, 2017 at Morristown Manor. She was born on October 18, 1932 in Greenfield as the daughter of Damon and Nettie (Graham) Beavins. She married Lawrence Sanford on May 15, 1968.
She worked for Western Electric for over 30 years before retiring in 1985. Nettie attended St. Michael Catholic Church as a child; she enjoyed playing cards-solitaire, euchre, and poker, camping, and taking drives in the country.
Nettie is survived by her children, David Riddle, Nettie Elliott, Tommy (Mona) Riddle, and Tina (John) Badgley; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Damon and Nettie Beavins; first husband, John R. Riddle; husband, Lawrence Sanford; and son, Wayne Riddle; and great-grandson, Zachary Riddle.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 3:00 p.m. also at the mortuary. Deacon Frank Klauder will be officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Greenfield.
