FOUNTAINTOWN
Imogene R. (Boring) Brune, 95, of Fountaintown, passed away Friday, September 29, 2017. She was born on June 30, 1922 in Finly, IN as the daughter of William R. and Anna Mary (Hall) Boring.
She graduated from New Palestine High School. Imogene married Harold Brune on November 18, 1943 in Finly, IN.
She was a homemaker and a farmer. Imogene loved painting, crocheting, crafting, photography, and spending time with friends and family. She was a member of Eastern Star and Carrollton United Methodist Church.
Imogene is survived by her daughter, Sheila Reed; son, Gene Brune; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Mary Boring; husband, Harold Brune; son, Dennis Brune; sisters, Bernice and Hazel; and brothers, Cecil and Loren Boring.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at New Palestine Cemetery. Rob Walker will be officiating.
