David Lee Scherer, 71 of Algood, Tenn., and formerly of Anderson, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017, at his residence. He was born on May 19, 1945, in Anderson, to the late James Wayne and Zula Mazzie (Vandwson) Scherer.
He worked for several factory’s and was member of Outlaw Classic Car Club of Connersville, Ind. and Algood Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Algood, TN.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Clark) Scherer of Algood, Tenn.; daughter, Tracey (Charles) Terrell of Whiteland, Ind.; sons,Troy W. (Jamie) Scherer of Anderson, and James W. Scherer of Fortville; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Lou Hendrix.
Mr. Scherer family have chosen cremation with no services planned at this time.
