Roselyn “Rosie” Marie (McKinney) Snyder, 86, a former Brownstown, Ind., resident, residing in Indianapolis, was called to her heavenly home the morning of Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Bloom Assisted Living. She was born in Columbus, Ind., on March 8, 1930, to the late Floyd and Dora McKinney.

She is survived by a sister, Hazel Nelson of Florida; four children, Cheryl (Dennis) Singer of New Palestine, Bill (Kathy) Snyder of Hunter, NY, Beckie (Brian) Eckelman of Columbus, Ind., and Julia (Jim) Yeater of Greenwood, Ind., and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Roselyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles W. Snyder; and sisters, Kate (Jack) Jackson, Betty (Alf) VonDielingen; and brother, Don (Martha) McKinney.

Reflecting her giving, selfless nature, and a desire to advance healthcare to benefit others, Roselyn donated her body to the Indiana University School of Medicine for research and education. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, March 4, at at Zion Lutheran Church, New Palestine, and a Memorial Service will follow with Pastor Jason Taylor officiating.

Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church, the American Heart Association, or the Arthritis Foundation.
