Jill Billings Peloso-Carr, 54, of Greenfield, peacefully passed away September 21, 2016, in her home after a courageous battle. Jill Marie was born at Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield on August 27, 1962, and spent her life in the Greenfield community.

She graduated from Greenfield-Central High School in 1980 where she was a member of the girl’s golf team and captain and number one player her senior year. She continued her studies to receive her Bachelors from Purdue University in 1984. After graduating, she worked at Community East Hospital until 1998 when she started her long tenure at Hancock Regional Hospital as Director of Nutritional Services.

She was an active member of the Greenfield Parks Board and the City Planning Commission. Jill was a charter member of the Hancock County Meals on Wheels program. She also helped oversee the daily functions and growth of the W.I.C. program for the county.

She was a kind and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and a true neighbor and friend. All who knew her share deeply in the sorrow of her departure.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her loving husband, Paul Carr; and two children, Paige Peloso of Columbus, and Dominic Peloso of Greenfield; her parents, Darrel and Joyce Billings of Greenfield, and her sister and brother-in- law, Tracy and Robert Clark of Neosho, Mo. She also leaves behind many cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, brother and sisters-in-law, and other beloved friends and colleagues.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Verle and May Billings and Edward and Ruth Grogg.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2016, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main St., Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, 621 South State St., Greenfield, IN 46140.
