An article in the June 2 edition (“Vernon Township plans to expand emergency services,” A1) contained incorrect information.
Seals, a privately owned ambulance company, has been sold; Vernon Township will be unable to renew its contract in December 2018.
Township officials also are in discussions to determine where to build a small, two-bay station that will eventually hold the township’s ambulance. The township has not decided on a location yet.
