GREENFIELD — A groundbreaking ceremony at Nameless Creek Youth Camp June 24 will mark the last steps in an improvement effort that began in 2006.

The Lodge at Nameless Creek, a building with capacity for 150 people, accessible restrooms, a certified kitchen and a serving window to outdoor seating, will break ground 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 24 with a celebration for donors and regular users.

Ninety percent of the construction costs have been funded through volunteer efforts, according to a news release. The event will include tours and catering by BBQ’n Fools.

The addition of The Lodge will enable the camp to accommodate larger groups, multiple events and make the camp a year-round venue.

Nameless Creek Camp, 2675 S. 600E, is a nonprofit organization, run by about 24 volunteers, that promotes healthy living outdoors.
