Robert J. Hine, 86, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab, Greenfield. He was born June 10, 1928, to the late Raymond and Thelma (Carter) Hine.
Bob was a graduate of South Bend Riley High School, attended Jordan College of Music and continued his education at Butler University where he received his Master's of Music in 1954.
Bob loved music and taught music at Arlington Schools in Rush County, Connersville Jr. High and Southwestern Shelby County Schools.
He was a past member of the Rushville Elk’s Club, Morristown American Legion and Boy Scout Leader for Troop 28. Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, golf and all sports.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathleen (Williams) Hine of Greenfield; son John R. Hine; daughter Linda Justus; grandchildren Jesse Justus and Aspen Couch; and great-grandchild Shy Walker.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Arlington East Hill Cemetery, 768 S. County Road 715W, Rushville, IN, 46173.
