Take us out, Mr. Sulu: Takei to be at Clowes Hall

INDIANAPOLIS — George Takei: actor, social justice and gay rights activist, social media mega-power, star of the upcoming Broadway musical, “Allegiance.”

But he’s probably best known for his role as Sulu in the original “Star Trek” series.

Takei will be speaking at Clowes Hall on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Seating is limited.

Feeling restless? Band offers free performance

SHELBYVILLE — The country-rock band, Restless Heart, will present a free concert Saturday at Indiana Grand Racing & Casino at 8 p.m. and again at 9:30 p.m. for guests at Center Bar.

A dinner buffet will be offered from 6 to 10 p.m., and each guest will receive $10 in casino cash for use on the casino floor.
