Raymond Edward Dusang, 74, of Greenfield, unexpectedly passed away Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, in Nashville, Tenn. He was born on Aug. 9, 1940, as the son of Edward and Isla (Herbert) Dusang.

Raymond graduated from Knightstown High School in 1958 and married Anita (Carmichael) on Nov. 17, 1961. He worked for IPL as a certified welder for 32 years before retiring. Raymond spent retirement working in his shop and helping family and friends; as well as vacationing to Florida with his wife.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anita Dusang of Greenfield; sons, Gary (Marilyn) Dusang and Larry (Angie) Dusang; brothers, Darrell Dusang and Mailon (Phyllis) Dusang; sister, Joleeta Dusang; mother-in-law, Gladys Carmichael; 4 grandchildren, Joshua (Chasiti) Dusang, Louie (Sabrina) Chaplin, Zachary Dusang, and Chelsea Starnes; and 2 great-grandchildren, Temprence Drew Chaplin and Adi Rose Dusang.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Isla Dusang.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary and Crematory, 1484 West U.S. 40, Greenfield, Ind. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 3 p.m. A private family graveside will take place at Washington Park East in Indianapolis.
