Annabel Elizabeth (Jordan) Kitley, 95, of New Palestine, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014. She was born Aug. 7, 1919, on a commercial garden in Marion County to the late Gottlob C. and Belle C. (Ellwanger) Jordan.

She was confirmed as a teenager at the Pleasant Run Evangelical and Reformed Church (United Church of Christ), and graduated from Southport High School. Annabel worked as a secretary at the Indiana Farm Bureau Co-op until she married her husband, R. Dale Kitley, on November 16, 1946 and became a farmer’s wife. Annabel was a member of the Brookville Road Community Church and also attended New Palestine United Methodist Church.

She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 67 years; 2 daughters; Roberta (Jim) Fowler and Lillie (Dan) Jones; grandchildren, Amy Jones, Dale (Lauren) Jones; and great-grandchild Mason Jones.

Annabel was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sister-in-laws, Harold (Issy), George (Lil), Henry (Ernie), Charles (Catie), and sister Lucille (Miley) McLaughlin.

Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. on Friday Nov. 7, at the New Palestine United Methodist Church, 3565 South 500 West, New Palestine, IN. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the church with burial following at New Palestine Cemetery with Pastor Mark Wesler presiding.
