Ellis “Neal” Denton, 54, of New Palestine, died at his home on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014. He was born on Oct. 1, 1959, in Indianapolis as the son of Francis E. and Lila G. (Jones) Denton. He graduated from New Palestine High School in 1977.
He served in the Army as a Helicopter Pilot.
Neal is survived by his mother, Lila Denton of New Palestine; daughter, Jennifer (Aaron) Clift of Charlottesville; brothers, Jeff Denton and Frank (Debbie) Denton both of New Palestine; two nieces; one nephew; one grandson and a grandson on the way.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francis E. Denton.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140 with full military rites by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard.
