Maxine L. (Roudebush) Muegge, 91, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014, at Hancock Regional Hospice. She was born on Jan. 26, 1923, as the daughter of Elden and Mabel (Boram) Roudebush. She graduated from Mount Comfort High School in 1941. She married Charles F. Muegge and they celebrated over 70 years of marriage together.
She worked for Greenfield City Hall as a Clerk for several years. She also worked for Indiana Knitwear over 10 years. Maxine was a member of Trinity Park United Methodist Church and volunteered making noodles for the church. She loved her family and watching sports and never missed an IU Basketball game.
Maxine is survived by her spouse, Charles F. Muegge of Greenfield; sons, Stephen Muegge of Greenfield, David (Nancy) Muegge of Morristown, Greg (Debbie) Muegge of Greenfield and Jeff (Lisa) Muegge of Greenfield; 12 grandchildren, David, Randall, Tina, Amy, Amber, Stacie, Shane, Zach, Nick, Joel, Nate and AJ; and 17 great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elden and Mabel (Boram) Roudebush; son, Dennis L. Muegge; daughter-in-law, Sydney Muegge; great- granddaughter, Zoe Mae Muegge; brothers, Bush & Gerald; and sisters, Esther & Betty.
Vitation will be from 4- 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014, also at the mortuary. Rev. Mike Manning will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
