Roy R. Thomas, Sr., 76, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, at his home. He was born Nov. 2, 1937, in Pikeville, KY., to the late Frank & Elizabeth (Adams) Thomas.
Roy married Phyllis (Kelley) Thomas on May 27, 1970. Roy retired from the Indianapolis water Company on July 1, 1999. Roy was also a pastor and enjoyed preaching God’s word. He was a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Church, he loved to fish, ride his Harley and gardening.
Roy is survived by his wife, Phyllis; sons, Roy R. Thomas Jr. of Moorseville, Billy J. Thomas of Greenfield and Shannon Thomas of Indianapolis; daughters, Teresa Thomas- Emberton and Bobbi Jo Thomas both of Greenfield; brothers, Goble Thomas, Jerry Thomas; sisters, Blanche Phillips, Norma Sue Ratliff , Donna Thomas and grandchildren, Jade, John and Nick Thomas, Taylor Tongate and Kaylee Adams.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother and three sisters.
