Robert C. Carter
Robert C. Carter, 87, Fortville, passed away August 8, 2013, at Kindred Healthcare in Greenfield surrounded by his family. He was born September 10, 1925, in Fortville to the late Ward and Mary (Whelchel) Carter.
Bob graduated from the former Fortville High School and retired from the former Brookside Corporation in 1985. He was a member of the Fortville Christian Church, the American Theater Organ Society and the Fortville F & AM Lodge No. 207.
He is survived by son Ron (Richarda) Carter of Hilham, Tenn.; daughter, Mitzi Carter-Neff of Greenfield; grandchildren, Randy Carter, Tammy (Brad) Goff, Shane (Mandy) Neff , Angie (Chris) Steeno and John Ayers; great-grandchildren, Christine Alley, Mitchell Carter, Wyatt Carter, Grace Williams, Austin Goff, Hayleigh Goff, Luke Neff, Audrey Neff, Ryan Carter-Steeno, Max Hollon Steeno and Noah Samples; and sister, Jean Clark of Pendleton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly (Jacobs) Carter in September 2010.
Friends may call from 5 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Fortville Christian Church, with memorial services beginning at 7 p.m.
