Bertie (McIver) Bratton, 72, a resident of New Castle, Ind., passed away peacefully Monday, March 11, 2013, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. She was born on Feb. 9, 1941, in Byrdstown, Tenn., a daughter of the late Johnnie and Mary Lee McIver.
Left to cherish her loving memory include her children, Brenda Bratton and Brian Bratton; 1 grandson; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean (McIver) Hall; several nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
Bertie was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Bill McIver and John McIver.
Friends may call from noon – 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Macer-Hall Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Ingalls officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery in New Castle.
