Deborah J. Sample, 89, formerly of Fortville, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012. She was born July 25, 1923, in Washington, Iowa to the late Charles and Geneva (Evans) Longer.
Deborah is survived by children, Penny Hiigel of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Daryl Sample of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Beth Sample, D.O. of Pensacola, Fla., Bonnie (Mark) Miller of Gustin, Ky.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brother, Jerry Longer of Lamoine, ME.
Mrs. Sample was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. “Bill” Sample in 2009; and brother, Daryl Longer.
A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Covenant Hospice in Pensacola, Fla.
