Sarah Jane Floyd, 51, went to be with her Lord, Monday Nov. 19, 2012, at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield. She was born Dec. 19, 1960, in Beech Grove, to the late Jack A. and Helen L. (Thoman) Masengale.
She attended St. Patrick/Central Catholic School and was a graduate of Emmerich Manual High School in 1979. She was employed at the Waters of Indianapolis for two years as an LPN. She was a 15 year member of the Shiloh Christian Church and member of the Eastern Hancock P.T.O. She was a Girl Scout Leader, a volunteer for Kids Play and Ricks Weil Community Theater. An avid supporter of Team CF, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and refereed at girls high school basketball and volleyball events. Sarah also modeled for the Helen Wells Modeling Agency in the past.
Sarah is survived by her husband, Neil Floyd of Greenfield; daughter, Annie Floyd of Greenfield; son, Andy Floyd of Greenfield; brothers, John William (Sandra) Masengale, Thomas Joseph (Bev) Masengale, Peter Martin (Mary) Masengale all of Indianapolis, Jeffery Lee (Carolyn) Masengale of Carmel; sisters, Mary Louise (Steve) Lovell and Jennettia Walters-Arney of Indianapolis; several aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; and nephews. Sarah was also the beloved American Mother to eleven foreign exchange students.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery, Morristown. Visitation will be from 2 until 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at the funeral home.
