Arthur D. Perry, 86, of Greenfield passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice Unit in Greenfield. He was born on April 11, 1925, in Shelby Co. to the late Fred E. and Ella Mae (Sallee) Perry.

Art proudly served his country during WWII in the Navy. He retired from Allison Transmission of General Motors in Indianapolis. He was a member of Wilkinson Church of Christ, Good Sam’s Camping Club, Allison’s Camping Club, and Knightstown American Legion # 152.

Survivors include his two children; daughter, Debi (Joe) Simmons of Bixbi, Okla.; son, Tim (Pam) Perry of Greenfield, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brothers, Glen Perry of Shelbyville, Norman Perry of Carthage, Kenny Perry of Middletown; sister; Wanda Rice of Indianapolis, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances in 2011, and brothers; Fredrick and Ralph Perry.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012, at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the funeral home with Ryan McCarty officiating. Burial with military service conducted by the Knightstown American Legion will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
