Clara Lucille DeWitt, 91, of New Ross, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at Ben Hur Home.
Clara married Walter F. Dewitt on Feb. 7, 1942, in Indianapolis. She was a member of Ladoga Christian Church, a farm wife, and former Secretary of Indiana Brown Swiss Assn.
Survivors include sons; Walter H. (Carol) DeWitt of Indianapolis, Michael L. (Ruth) DeWitt of Crawfordsville; daughters, Sharon A. (Jack) Everhart-Cochran of Morristown, Carol S. (Albert) Halsey of New Ross, Christy N. (Gary) Kingen of McCordsville, Terri E. (Wayne) Sourdike of Bedford; 15 Grandchildren; and 23 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband,Walter F. Dewitt; and grandsons, Albert Halsey III, and John Robert DeWitt.
Visitation will fom be 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Feb. 4,2012, at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home, 203 N. Washington St., Ladoga. Funeral Services will follow at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at New Ross Cemetery following services.
