Jack Lee Ross, age 72, of Charlottesville, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011. Born on April 27, 1939, in Portland, Ind., he was the son of Howard and Dorothy (Stout) Ross.

Jack graduated from Norwood High School in Norwood, Ohio, in 1957, and married Dixie L. Heniser on June 10, 1961, in Portland, Ind. He worked at General Electric as a service technician for over 30 years before retiring. He was a member of Bradley UMC, a lifetime member of the Jaycee’s Club, and an avid golfer.

Surviving him are his children, Lisa (Paul) Richardson of Plainfield, Jon (Cam) Ross of Honolulu, HI; sister, Karen Schmidt of Tyler, TX; and grandchildren, Matthew and Emely Richardson, and Naomi and Nathan Ross. Preceding him in death were his wife and parents.

Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Bradley United Methodist Church in Greenfield, until the time of the funeral services which will start at 6 p.m. Pastor Wade Compton will be officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Green Park Cemetery in Portland, Indiana.
