Julia A. Walters, age 70, of New Palestine, died on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, in Greenwood. Born on Dec.27, 1940, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Stanley and Mary (Carter) Woodruff.
Surviving her are her sister, Carole Woodruff of Lamar, Ark.; children, Linda (David) McElhiney of Mooresville and John (Tracy) Walters of Fountaintown; one niece; four grandchildren; and two great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and twin sister, Judy Bauer.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at the Cross of Grace Lutheran Church in New Palestine, with pastor Mark Havel officiating. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery.
