Donald E. Rice, 63, of Fallbrook, Calif., passed away Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011. He was born July 19, 1947, in Shelbyville, Ill., to Donald Edward and Betty Jean (Adams) Rice.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps (a lifelong dream) from 1965 to 1987, retiring with the rank of Major.
Surviving him are his wife of 34 years, Marlene; daughter, Kristina L. Rice; son, Scott Edward Rice; step-son, Jeffrey W. Stiver; step-daughters, Pamela L. and Djuana L Patterson; brother, Kenneth H. Rice; sisters, Judith J. Young and Saundra Moorhouse; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
